  1. I purchased a bunch of videos that turned out to be Region 2 dvds. Is there anyway to convert them to Region 1 dvds? FYI ... I'm on a Mac.

    Many thanks.

Don't know what software is available to do this on the MAC (the Mac forum might be a better place to ask), but there are a couple of considerations

    1. Region 2 encompasses both PAL and NTSC locations. Is the DVD PAL or NTSC

    2. Do you need to change the region to region 1, or simple remove the region to make it playable in all regions ?

If the answer to Q1 is NTSC, and Q2 region free, then any compentent ripper should do this. Rip it, burn it back. Job done. A Mac user will have to fill in the vital blank - what software to use.

If the answer to Q1 is PAL, then life becomes harder. Region 1 is an NTSC region, and most NTSC players will not playback PAL. This means you may well be up for a format conversion. Whaile there are plenty of tools to do this in the PC realm, I suspect it may be more difficult in Mac land. Again, a Mac user can add more detail on process and software.
