My friend has a 50 inch DLP Sony LCD TV that has only one HDMI that is being used for his upconversion dvd player but he would also like to use the HDMI from the hd/dvr digital cable box. Is there some sort of device that could convert that one HDMI input to be split so he can utilize the HDMI connection as well on the hd/DVR digital cable box? I'd appreciate any comments/advice. Thanks in advance!!!

  2. Hi-

He wants an HDMI Switcher. But they're not cheap. Here's what a quick search turned up:

    http://www.hdmiplanet.com/21hdsw.html
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BNSIC8/

The Geffen models are top-of-the-line, but even more expensive.
