Hello,
I read, ffmpeg can be used as capture-tool...?![]()
My questions:
1. Does ist work for Linux only?
2. I've found the parameters, but am not really experienced so could anyone help with a sample commandline-script AND the correct way to start the cmd.exe... with ffmpeg...?
3. Has anyone got experience with using it as capture-software, i.e. is it recommended for the ATI AIW and what problems did you encounter...?
Should it work on Linux-machines only, the above questions are kind of useless of course...

No one?
Hey, y' all on holiday? 8)
Would be great to know, if there is/are any answer/answers to my questions... -
If you want to do real-time MPG capture with an AIW card, the best software to use is the MMC that came with it. SFAIK, this is the only software which will use the hardware-assisted features of the AIW series.
I have never heard of ffmpeg as a capture software, doesn't mean it can't be used that way.
