Sorry i've searched the forum but i still havn't found any simple guides to do this. If you have one please list the links thanks![]()
From what i read, i would need some sort of a "video capture card"? or a camcorder. Is this true?
I have a VCR and 6600GT with video out, is it enough to capture the video?

You need a video capture card with a VIDEO INPUT jack.

This section in the HOW TO of videohelp is a good place to look (found on the green section on the links on the left of the screen <------).
Video cards like the ATI ALL-IN-WONDER and even external USB 2 capture cards can work reasonably well.
Also for better quality you should consider getting a dvd burner. You can get a single layer dvd burner really cheap these days - try an auction website. That way you can record at a lot higher quality than simply mpeg 1 vcd video.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
For VHS to VCD the best solution IMO is ANY modern capture card (released after 2001) and the use of MainConcept PVR. Get a second hand, they give them virtually for free now!
