    Hello everybody,

    i am interesting, does exist some program which tell what is DV avi type(I or II)?

    Gspot might , vdub will .

    Vdub will complain if it's d1 , that should give you an idea .

    The latest VD (1.6 versions) can handle DV Type 1. Can also transfer Type 2 from a DV device, though I have never tried either.

    But the older VD versions and VD Mod still choke on Type 1.

    And if you have Type 1, you can easily convert it to Type 2 with Canopus DV File Converter or a couple of other programs.
