Is this possible? PCM to DD without rebuilding?

I have several DVD titles that were made a while ago and have PCM audio , I would like to convert the audio to dolby to save room as the audio in PCM takes up more space than the actual movies.

I know I can convert to video files & work with & rebuild the DVD using new menus etc. The current menus are really well done and I would like to keep them. Is there an easier way? Is there a program that can keep the DVD as is (menu structure etc.) and convert only the audio to dolby? Can I do this with the VOBs?

Everything is possible, but without reauthoring, I'd say a firm No.
But then again, your question seems odd to me. "Save room" where? You've already authored the DVD (obviously) so there is no room to save there.
If you have it all on HDD, open your project (with whatever authoring app you have), change the LPCM audio for your Dolby version, keeping all else as is.

OK, here is what I have: 7 DVDs of a TV series (there are about 7 episodes on each DVD) the multiple menus take you to each episode. I wanted to use DVD Remake to combine the DVDs only problem is the audio is in LPCM so a lot of space is wasted.

I do not have the original content. I was just looking for a way to convert the audio as easily as possible keeping the original menus etc. I know I can pull everything off re-encode and re-author using my own menus and then rebuild and that is what I was trying to work around.

Jim's second link will do what you want. However, that guide is old, and you can do a couple of things faster and more easily now. For step 2, demux using PGCDemux. It'll give you the celltimes.txt at the same time, so you don't have to go into IFOEdit later to get it in a separate step. For step 5, it's easier to do the replacing using VobBlanker these days. After you've reauthored all your episodes using IFOEdit (I use Muxman) with the new AC3 audio, open the original DVD (the one with the PCM audio) in VobBlanker. Highlight each episode in turn to make it show up in the lower window, and then to the right hit the "Replace" button. Scroll to your newly authored episode (the one with the AC3 audio). Do that for each episode and then "Process". The result will be a new DVD with the episodes with AC3 audio, but with the same working menus, and other extras that you might want to keep. If there's stuff you don't want to keep (warnings, logos, other extras) then you can "Blank" them (remove them) before processing.
