win explorer can't read multisession disc properly

I've done a search on this & found that this is quite a common problem, but no solution found so far.
Before I format my hard drive, my win explorer was able to read all session on the dvd-r created with Nero after ejecting and reloading the disc after burning. Now that I have re-installed the same program (win xp sp2, Nero 6.6.0 & other software I have been using before), the same dvd-r disc my win explorer can read properly earlier will only show the first session now.
I have this problem before but some how it was solved but I've forgotten what have I done to solve it.

Does any body know for sure of the solution?

Thanks for the info.
I have checked my pc and the udfs.sys I have seems to be quite new ( ver. 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)).
Before I start updating my os (which normally takes ages because I am using dial up connection), just want to know for sure will this problem be solve by updating alone (before I go through the trouble). Any body ?
