  4. I'm guessing that you want the sound to stay the same pitch but the video to speed up?

If so I think you can do the video in Vurtualdub and then use some sound software to change the runtime to match,

No no no.That's not it. P.E., the PowerDVD can play a video with at least 2 times faster with audio, but I would like to make a video to run at normal speed, but like one at 2 times faster.

  6. Do you want the Video to be standard speed but the audio to be double speed and pitch?

  8. I Think I’ve got a solution for ya, using VirtuaDub.

In brief: Have VirtuaDub open your AVI, save it as a sequence of images, then delete every second image. Open the image sequence, and save it as an AVI.

    In detail:
    • Start VirturaDub.
      Open your video file.
Save your image sequence. This will create a BMP of every frame.
      Close your video file.
Navigate to where those images are, and delete every 2nd one.
Open your image sequence (File -> Open Video File, then navigate to the first one in the sequence.)
You should see your video at double speed. Save it!

You can experiment with deleting, say, every third frame instead, if it’s not the right speed. Also, some frames are better than others! You may have to set your frame rate (Video -> Frame Rate)

I used this method to lengthen some time lapse footage by duplicating frames. Worked out real nice!

    Cheers,

  9. I'd like to add that for the soundtrack, you should use the Benny Hill theme.
