    Any correct proceedures when capturing with a JVC mini compact camcordor, capturing in the daytime is ok but at nights i am not getting the qualilty picture tyhat i would have expected. Is there any correct settings for night capturing.

    Welcome to our forums.

    I'm going to assume you are talking about videotaping at night. You would need to post your JVC model number to get any specific help. Most Mini DV camcorders (I'm guessing that's what you have) don't have that good of low light performance, no matter what the manufacturer might say. The cure is more light. You may get away with some low motion video under low light. But give us more information and someone may be more familiar with your model of camera.

    BTW, this is not Portable Video. That is for devices like Ipods,etc. Moving you.

    By "capturing" do you mean camera settings while shooting or moving pre-recorded data to the computer?

    For the latter you would use the IEEE-1394 connection and an program like WinDV.

    For shooting, the main issue is lighting the scene.
