Noticed Vegas has a rendering quality setting for rendering DV.
I'm assuming that there is very little (or no) difference between good and best, if i'm just cutting out parts of the DV source i want to keep (no transitions etc...)

    Can anyone confirm this?

This is interesting really. I know there's a substantial difference between "good" and "best" in MPEG2 in Vegas. Vegas user forums suggest "best" so per analogiam I'd stick with "best" for DV (just in case). Check Sony Vegas forums for more info on this one.

Have a read of this, from Sony's knowledge base, and also read the linked article from Creative Cow

i was just wondering if that only applied to MPEG encoding, and wasn't sure if it was relevant to DV.
