I did not have particularly good luck with the Epson Stylus Photo 900. The Black cartridge head began leaking like a sieve so I have been without a color printer for some time.

I am not impressed by Epsons reliability, nor the easy-clogging, non replaceable print heads. I would like a Canon Direct CD printer, but the U.S. versions do not have it. (Stupid Patent Office)

Are the newer Epson's anymore reliable?
Do they require frequent use to prevent clogging and leakage?
Are they easier to clean and maintain?

I am considering an Epson RX700, or R340, but would like to have a more reliable alternative, that is better with Text and faster.

Thanks,

CC
