  1. TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2.0 trial available in japanese version.
As far as I can see from japanese version nothing dramatic new, only new and more handled interface.
Finally have option "Output clips separately".
Previous version only have Output all clips in 1 file, this I find out after cutting 23 clips in 1 project and discover I don't have option to "Output clips separately" like in TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress.

I thought VideoRedo and Womble Multimedia's MPEG-VCR and MPEG VIDEO WIZARD were the tops when it came to MPEG editing.

Why should we care about this TMPGEnc product?

I mean they make nice encoders and DVD authoring programs but do we really need yet another MPEG editor when we already have 3 by 2 companies that are acknowledged as the best there is?

It's all about the alternatives we have.
Also, TMPGenc is a brand name well known on our scene, so a product about editing may have a market to target.

  4. Once I tried Mpeg Video Wizard, I just stopped using the one that Tmpgenc had out. I am totally happy with how well Womble Mpeg Video Wizard works. It is nice that that Tmpgenc is now offering frame level accuracy, but Womble beat them to it, and once I got used to Womble Mpeg Video Editor, I find it works very efficiently. Having a title editor built into Womble is a nice feature as well. The staff at Womble answer one's emails as well, in a fast and curteous manner. On top of that once you have bought it, you don't have to worry about validating it at a later date like you do with alot of Tmpgenc's products. I find that Tmpgenc has become a rather cold company, that doesn't want to hear from customers like it once did.
