  1. I'n not sure where to post this, so I picked "general". I figured many here make their own videos so they might be able to offer some creative advise for me - not the usual "how-to" question. I used to post here very often when I was learning how to do this stuff so it's nice to be back. Folks helped me so much in the past. I mostly makeDVDs from camcorder (DV) and photos.

Here's my current project. I make a DVD for each of my children when they turn 10 yrs old. Video and photos of their 10 years of life. Next Wed. my 2nd son turns 10 ! What I need is some music that fits the theme. Boys growing up, little kids, babies, WHATEVER. Or just some useful background music to throw in.

Thanks in advance for the ideas. If in the wrong forum please move or let me know and I'll re-post.

  4. Thanks so far. Anyone else? C'mon some more of you must make videos for your kids.

They don't have to be "kid's songs", prefer songs by real bands/singers with growing up or kid theme. Liike Bruce Sprinstein "Growing Up". (That's the only good one I found).

Gotta be "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett and the Blakchearts. Kids loved it in 1982 and I'm sure they still will.

Why not use songs that your kids like today?

Then when they watch this video 10 or 20 years from now they will be like, "oh man I can't believe I liked that silly song then" LOL
