Just purchased a D-Link G108 AirPlusXtremeG wireless router. One of its features is to connect a USB printer directly to one of the USB ports on the wireless router.
The documentation says that it doesn't support “GDI Printers”, “Host-based Printers” and “WPS Printers”.
Does the R210 fall into one of these non supported categories?
Has anyone managed to get their R210 or similar printer working directly of the printer sever on their wireless router?

GDI and host based printers are the same thing. Basically the host(the computer) converts the image or document into a printable output. The R2xx printers are GDI or host printers. What you want is a PostScript type printer. The router(host) is incapable of doing this conversion for it's printers.
An alternative to directly linking to this printer via that USB port you could setup the printer in windows as a shared printer and all computers on your network would be able to access this printer through it's host computer. -
Thanks ROF, so its a GDI printer. Never mind, I have setup printer sharing, just have to have the desktop on when I print.
Getting computers to work takes up a lot of your time, when setting up the print share, I discovered that ipconfig/all command doesn't work. From what I gather, its something to do with the wireless router, even though I am using a T100 (NIC) connection between the PC and Router.Have a nice Day
