Don't ask me how or why it works but it does....fascinating. If you watch
the images from your seat in front of the computer, Mr. Angry is on the
left, and Mrs.Calm is on the right.

Get up from your seat, and move back about eight feet!! They switch
places!! I believe this illusion was created by Phillippe G. Schyns
and Aude Oliva of the Univ. of Glasgow.

This proves that we may not be seeing what's actually there, all the time!!

I do not know how they generated this fascinating image, and I believe
no-one else is able to generate anything similar in Photoshop. I know it
has something to do with "low-pass" and "high-pass" filters, but the
    details ????

  4. I backed up into the opposite corner of the room before they began to change (about 12 feet). Maybe it also depends on your eyesight? Good eyesight will still pick out the details that keep them in their original places.

If you're sitting wondering why it is that Mr. Angry is ALREADY on the right, see an optician!

If I take off my specs they change without me moving.

I would think on a CRT it would be a better effect but I also have good eyesight

I'm easily fooled when intoxicated though . This is what happens after a few pints

    Doesn't work for me.

edit: had to take my glasses off before it would work, then I still had to backup quite a bit.
