  1. OK, I don't know whether the problem is in conversion or authoring.
    I used TMPGEnc on "Video-CD NTSC Film" to convert my AVI (numbers matched). But when I burn it to VCD I lose the edges and the bottom of the image, half the subtitles are disappearing and there was black above and below on the original. The letterbox is intact on the converted file on my computer. My burner program is Prassi PrimoCD Plus 2.0
    Any suggestions?

    How much of the image disappeares? Maybe it is due to TV overscan? Then resize to a smaller framesize and add borders to all sides. You can use FitCD to calculate the resize (tool section). If you are not sure about this, tell us which tools do you use (if there are more than TMPG) and the resolution (frame size) of the avi.
