  1. I downloaded and installed the LAME MP3 codec, or whatever it's called, so I could change the audio type of some video files in VirtualDubMod. I used i successfully a few times.

    However, after closing VDubMod, and reopening it, the LAME encoding option had disappeared. I've tried installing again, I've tried moving the files to different locations. Nothing works.

    How can I get it back? What else could I use as a substitute? I tried the default MP3 options, but the audio quality is lower than...something that's really low. Whatever.

    I don't think I've ever had that happen. You can always install vdubmod into another folder and reload lame there. That should work.
