Hello, I'm having a problem with intervideo dvdcopy platnium 3. I've used shrink and clonedvd2 before and clonedvd2 being the most recently. Both that I named burn dvds good. I got to reading today and found that intervi. dvdcopy plat. 3 was a better copier as far as quality goes, I guess i'ts transcoder or encoder i'm not sure, but anyways I've had this program for awhile now and never used it because I never seen anyone talking about it. Well I've installed it, inserted the dvd, picked what I wanted what I didn't won't and the use 1 cd was checked and everything looked great. Now I hit burn and it did its thing, then my disc ejected. I put the disc back in and it said error can't not play disc or something to that nature. I went to explorer and went manually to the folder, and I noticed I'm guessing the first half would play and the other half of files would just hang the player I was using. What caused my disc to fail using the program in the topic? Thanks

If you look at the comments left by users( https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=InterVideo_DVD_Copy ), most reckon it gives worse quality than Shrink and Shrink is free! I would suggest simply uninstalling it and not bothering.

Well from what people say they prefer interv. dvdcopy for quality, and you could even tell with that comparison on others. Now that was an older comparison as far as how old the programs were, so I'm not too sure if shrink has made some big steps to catch up, and i'm not sure if drink is even updated anymore. The one reason fans admire shrink though is for #1 it's free, for #2 it gives you options to do what you please. The problem I have is when I use still pictures to replace stuff it shows up in my dvd movies with that still. Clonedvd2 you can take stuff out and nothing shows up when playing the dvd. How can I use shrink to not display stillpictures when i'm playing my dvd and is there anyway to make the still pictures smaller in size. For a picture 2-10mb is huge. Also what does deep analysing do? Does it make sure 100% of the size and nature of the movie to give you more specs on what you're doing as far as editing goes? Thanks

Why are you replacing things with still pictures? I use DVDShrink in Re-Author mode and just keep the main movie. I don't bother leaving the menus or extras in so there is nothing to replace with a still image.

Open a DVD in Shrink, click on the Re-Author button, drag the main movie over into the left hand window, click Compression settings and then remove the foreign audio streams and sub pictures. Click Backup, job done. No still pictures, menus or extras and very little compression needed on most movies.

I like to use menus, that way I can go through chapters. A real pain to fast forward ect. I have used reauther before and yes it's good for main movie and editing. But if I don't reauthor I need to figure out how to make the still pics from not showing on the dvd.

    Thanks

Even if you Re-Author and only have the main movie, the chapter points still exist. OK, you haven't got the scene select menu anymore, but you can still step through the chapters by just hitting next on your DVD remote.
