  1. Is there a programme or method that will stop a backup dvd or cd being copied again. I tried killing the copy before the lead out on nero but it was still readable. I have heard there is a programme about that will do this but what it is I have no idea. In a nutshell I want a programme that will allow backups to be played on dvd players and cd players but I want to add encryption to stop it being copied again.

So ....<paraphrasing>.... in other words, you want to stop your friends from copying your backup copies ?

Depends on how much effort you wish to go to. Remember though that no matter what methods you use, there's always a way around it (hence your backup copy of a commercial disc in the first place). You then have to weigh up if the outcome (or lack thereof) justifies the effort involved.

One highly experimental but completely 100% effective method involves little to no effort and involves saying the word "NO" when they ask to borrow them
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. Of course, there's always this approach...
