I missed another item on Ebay![]()
it was an 8mm film of a sporting event from the 70's that I just fancied buying for the hell of it. It was only £2.99 and I got my email reminder that it was ending yesterday
I just simply forgot as the auction still had 11 hours left but I like to bid late. It's pointless bidding early unless you won't be around as letting others know your bid means you get idiots just bumping up the price uneccessarily

I lost one the other day at work (!), I tried to place my bid with about a minute left and the network went down. Trying to get a tire for my M/C.

If I want to bid on an item, I just enter the maximum im willing to pay for it. If someone else bids higher than my max price, well thats good for them. Time left for an auction doesn't really concern me much.

I understand what you mean. Especially when you really want an item desperately, its a 10 day auction, you've been the highest bidder of X number of days and someone outbids you in the last 10 seconds of closing. OUCH!!!
