Walk into a store? That's so 20th century. The only time I ever buy media at a store is if it's on sale(and I need it) or I'm in the middle of a project, and I run out of them needing more quickly. Otherwise I always buy most of my media products online. Convenience is the shopping of today. I don't have to wait in line, deal with some underpaid customer service rep asking me if I need help for the billionth time, and the product is delivered directly to my doorstep with no need for me to carry it to a register, fumble with cash or a credit card, carry it to my car, waste my gas to get there and back, carry it out of my car, juggle my keys and my package (all the while hoping the cheap plastic bag doesn't break), and finally get the product home. That's too much like work.

    Thank goodness for the internet.

Well, i can't help it of your too lazy to go into a store
& they are on sale 8)

Yeah, i order online by 1-4 hundred at a time & i order alot!!
I can't walk into a store and buy the style and type of media i use but this thread is about Verbatim DL+.

I don't use DL+ enough to make a 100 or 1000 disc order worthwhile & ordering a 10 pack for $25.00 online and then sending in a rebate to get them for $17.00 does not save any $$ as far as i'm concerned, messing with a rebate, stamp, time ect.
Takes me 5 minutes to stop in the parking lot as i'm driving past, walk in and pick a pack up off the shelf and walk through the register & done.

So where is the deal as stated in my OP
Show me someplace where i can order them for say $1.00 or less each then yeah, that's a deal

Actually my last 5 or 6 purchases at Best Buy have not happened at a cash register. Two of them happened in the store, but because the product wasn't available there I used their in store online computer to order the product. Talk about inconvenience. I could have done that without leaving my home.

The OP in this thread is to an online sales link anyways.

Where do you get DVD+DL disks for less ... that have a very very high reliable rating .... Ritek is junk ... Fuji is made by Ritek [and or some other company ... so your taking a chance]

So buy Verbatim and not be worried about wasting $2 bucks.

I've been buying these and I'm happy ... I bought the Ridata ones and I sent them back.

I bought 4 packs of the Ten Packs ... recently for $20 bucks each ... I haven't opened them up yet. I do know they work because back in November Best Buy had the same sale ... and I bought two packs.

I was aware last Sunday morning about this sale and they were there on the shelf ... but didn't need to get any ...

Where did you get the idea the +DL Ritek's are junk? They are more than reliable, they are cheap and reliable.

Yeah, i hate when i go in there and they don't have what i need or is advertised!!! but it's usually something i can live without.
But that's pretty rare at the one i go to, of the three near me.

And the OP link is just to the item on their web page, it's in the weekly add as a walk in not exclusive to just online sale's, page 8

Because I bought the two 10 packs of Verbatim and I no problems ... I then ordered online the Ridata 25 Pack and the first 5 on top screwed up ... I sent them back.

My time is precious and I cant be buying something so picky ...

At that time in ... December 2005 ... I had two DVD DL burners ... the Pioneer 109 and the Panasonic 9585 ... I now have the Lite-On (the model Walmart sells) [that I take with me to work in a external USB 2.0 enclosure and in last few weeks the Plextor PX-740A [I got it on Ebay for $66 bucks ... postage ... hmmm ... probably around $20 bucks.] Bestbuy sells it for over a $100 bucks ... so I did well on Ebay.

The method for the Verbatims ... went well ... so I bought some Ridata/Riteks .... and total SNAFU ... I sent them back. And used the in store credit to buy two External USB 2.0 hard drive enclosures.

Nothing against Verbatim's, I love'em, but I use Ritek's all the time without issue. This is on assorted drives from BenQ, Samsung, NEC, Pioneer, lite-Ons, Sony, etc.

I figure if I'm gonna spend the $2/disc, I'll stick with my trusty verbatims. It's the only brand I use for all media (+R=MCC & +RDL=MKM Codes) on my Benq 1620.

For the most part I need a cheap and reliable way to test burners before I sell them. Ritek's in bulk fill this niche nicely. Personally, I like verbatims and our local Best Buy is always out of stock on them. I've told the store manager several times about this and I keep hearing that they can't keep them in stock. That should attest to verbatims reliability and also the incompetence of the supply/demand system at best buy.

I live in Hanford CA ... and work in Fresno CA ... Best Buy in Fresno does have a problem stocking stuff ... especially the Seagate Hard Drives they constantly have on sale with Instant savings.

But ... as I'm going home ... [I get off at 4PM on Sunday ... same day the new Best Buy flyer comes out in the Fresno Bee] traveling down 99 ... I don't turn off to Hanford ... I keep going to Visalia CA ... and there is a Best Buy there too ... that is where I usually buy the stuff ... Best Buy in Fresno has out of stock.

Even though this sounds like a lot of time on the Freeways ... it's cool because if I get home too quick ... my wife wont give me any attention ... because she is shopping on ... QVC ...
