    For some reason, Nero and CloneDVD2 both say 'Insert Blank Media', the dvd's I am using have never been burnt on. There NEW, can anyone tell me what is going on. I am going to try a few more dvd's and if that don't work, I'll try a reboot.

    Ok I got it work. I tried another cd, but from the same stack. Do you think the two dvd's I tried where bad?

    Could be bad media or your burner doesn't recognize the brand. But I would try a different brand of DVDs before making any decisions.

    Those clear plastic thingies on the top of the stack are not DVDs. Once you got through those (there are usually one or two of them), you got down to the "real" stuff!
