Local Office Depot had a 2 for 1 sale on their Premium gloss presentation paper. It's a 2 sided 43# paper with a brightness of 89. It prints outstanding covers with my Canon i960 or ip5000. $12 and change for 150 sheets.

    I've been using this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16828103049

It lists as "photo paper", but it is actually high resolution ink jet paper.

    I use this paper.

Which figures out to about a penny for every other sheet used. Works great for case covers, labels, or any place you need a printout.

I've tried a few generic types of paper such as that without much success...at least not at the quality I was trying to achieve. Also, most printers have trouble printing a full dvd cover on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

Glad it works for you though.

When that paper doesn't achieve the quality I switch to http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesProductDisplay?prodCatType=0&s...:CG10:CL140781

That paper is heavier and brighter white which produces beautiful color representation for about a penny a sheet.

I really like this, using it for about 5 years now:

    HammerMill® Color Copy Paper, 8 1/2" x 14", Ream
Ultra-smooth finish for perfect toner blending and brilliant color reproduction.

    28 lb.
    98 US / 112+ Euro Bright
Ultrabright "PhotoWhite" shade provides better color registration
Heavyweight sheet enables stable surface for supporting heavy toner coverage
Acid free, will not yellow or crumble over time
    White

Look it up at staples.com, maybe in stores too.

The hammermill to me is really just a more expensive version of the staples brand link above. Printouts look identical.

I've been using Premium Glossy Photo Paper - Fuji at the moment - 9.5 mil or higher weight. The quality of the paper really shows up in the final insert. I did try some matte case inserts, but was unhappy with the results.

BTW: The inserts that I'm doing are for customer DVDs - and they really sell better if they look like they came from Hollywood! LOL

Actually ROF, I get mine from a paper store.
I pay less for Hammermill than you do for Staples off-brand.

Nice. The nearest paper store is about 60 miles from here.

If you're in Canada, try these nice-looking, glossy perforated ones.

They have a couple of templates on the site for these inserts for Corel and Photoshop, and here is the template I made for Nero Cover Designer. To add it to your Nero Cover Designer, click File | Paper Stocks | Import.
