I am ripping a DVD to .avi encoded with xvid. I keep the audio bitrate the same (192) and the video bitrate is about 1400. The final file size is abotu 750 mb. I am using simpledivx. After the final product is finished the audio is not quite synced with the video - it seems like there is only 1/8 sec off through the entire movie - but it is a big enough deal for me to worry about it. any help would be great, thanks

Agree about another method -- simpledivx doesn't appear to have a method of accounting for audio/video delay in orig DVD.
Also *Might* get simpledivx to work if you use shrink just to isolate title -- qual at 100%.
