I'm sure many of you know about this but for those that do'nt.
I started to to get "parts need serviced" errors while using my printer.
Today it would'nt do a thing lights just flashed.
So after some googling found out it may be ink pad was full.
Every time you clean print head it adds to counter.
Reach the max and it stops printing.
So i downloaded a Utility from here http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
But it told me current value was 20000 and max was 40000, so i had 20000 to go.
Anyway i reset it and hay presto printer works!
Now if I had not done this my only option would of been
a. get it serviced (and i'm pretty sure that would cost more than new printer, it's a C86 and over a year old)
or b. buy a new printer.
I realise it is a safety mechanism to stop ink pad overflowing but I was 20000 points short!
I'm convinced it is a con by Epson.
Hope this helps someone.
