Pinnacle PC TV 100e USB 2.0 NTSC

My elder brother who stays in the US recently brought Pinnacle PC TV 100e USB 2.0 NTSC model for me in India. I tried to scan the TV channel available in cable using this hardware but it is not working. Is it because the NTSC model does not work in PAL system available in India ? Can anyone clarify ? I have to return it to USA immediately if it does not work.

Most video devices use separate tuners for US (NTSC) & elsewhere. Might still work using cables from another tuner, but if you can return it without too much expense, probably wiser to do so and get PAL device.

I am going to do what you have advised. I tried to scan the channels using the NTSC tuner again. It was able to detect the channels but all were in black and white and audio was garbled. I am sending it back and try to get a PAL tuner. Thanks for your advice.
