Just for the hell of it: Is there any way to feed a media file (let's say an AVI) to let's say MSN Messenger instead of a live web cam?
It shouldn't be impossible - just make the AVI appear as a video device somehow. Anyone seen anything like that?

Try SplitCam from www.splitcamera.com . It's like a virtual capture device and it works with VirtualDub. But it should also work with any other capture-application.

And it was! Phew - one more thing off my chest. Works like a charm. Now, I can record an AVI of myself working like hell, and whenever my boss feels like snooping, all he'll see is me working, while I'm in fact on my back in the rest room!
    Simply great.
