    hi all just wanted to know whats the best program that will convert rm or rmvb files to avi or dvd
    dont care what steps i have to go through just as long as i get to watch it on a dvd player in the best possible picture
    i tryed tmpgenc and converted the rm audio using goldwave to wav and fed that into tmpgenc but tmpgenc only recognises half the audio
    ive tryed virtualdub mod also without any luck
    so any help given is greatly appreciated

    Once you get it into MPEG or MPEG2 you can author it to any DVD or VCD you want.

    Unfortunatelly WinAVI doesn't do much of anything well. Many threads here to that affect. SUPER is freeware and works fine for RM conversion, as do other programs, including the older EO Video. But not WinAVI.
