I've been capping programs with my twinhan card for around a year and a half now. I've ran into a problem in the last month and a half that I have not been able to fix. The mpegs are 544x480 and I usually use dvd patcher then import into tmpgenc dvd author then repatch them, make menus, and convert. Well here lately any file I record plays fine and is in sync, until tmpgenc gets thru with it. I've tried 3 seperate recordings and they all get out of sync towards the end, but the original is in sync perfectly. Is this caused by tmpgenc dvd author or something else? Thanks

    Hello Baldrick,

No I haven't tried either of those yet, but I thought those programs where for only if the file was messed up before?

This sync issue could be on account of the audio.

(most likely -- a conversion problem, where one of those apps is
not liking the audio codec used in that mpeg, and is doing a bad
    job at converting it)

Also, make sure that the frame rate is not changing or that an IVTC
is not being applied in those tools. I don't know. I'm just guessing
    at this point, now.

    Good luck,

    Last thing to try..

You could also try another dvd author app and see if that solves
    your "sync" problems.. like ifoEdit.

** make sure your mpegs are de-muxed, as in: *.m2v and *.mp2 (use TMPG mpeg tools)
    ** open ifoEdit
** on the menu, select DVD Author.
    ** select Author New DVD
** for your Video, click the [.] box and import your *.m2v file
** then, your Audio, click the [.] box and import your *.mp2 file
** then, in the Output Stream:[ ... ] enter your video_ts folder
** finally, click the OK button, and this will create your DVD structure
** now you should be able to burn these to DVD disks.

I was assuming that you are trying to compile DVD disks. And the above
    is just for that.

I'm not Baldrick but I just want to say I always run my DVB captures through PVAStrumento or ProjectX to fix audio sync and other problems. If there are no problems then the programs won't touch the streams but if there are problems they are fixed.

So before trying anything else I suggest using ProjectX or PVAStrumento. For me it seems ProjectX often does a slightly better job than PVAStrumento keeping the audio in perfect sync.

I've tried eveything recommended here and even my capture that I do with my wintv pvr 250 card are now becoming out of sync after authoring. I've tried ifoedit/tda/ pva strumento etc etc. I read another article about bad directshow filters and I took out the suggested ones but I'm still having the same problems. Any ideas on how to fix this?
