  1. Hi, there,
I wonder if you could help me out here, Iīve just used DVDDecrypter to rip a japanese DVD.

However, when I opened the files to see what I got, instead of getting my film with its original japanese audio I got the english dub.

Is there a way to rip a DVD in its original audio track?

    thanks.

How did you rip it ?

If you rip the whole thing in any mode you will get everything. This is generally the best way to get it to the HDD, then use DVD Shrink or VOBBlanker etc to remove the bits you don't want.

More detail about your DVD Decrypter usage would help point to where you went wrong though.

  4. Hi, guys,

thank you for the repplies, I went back and you were right, both audio tracks are there when playing with PowerDVD.

I was watching the ripped files in Windows Madie Player which must play the english dub by default.

WMP is a very poor DVD player. If you have PowerDVD, always use it to test as it is closer to a hardware player in the way it reads the structure.
