sony SLV-D360P AND DOUBLE LAYER DVDS

I have just created 2 verbatim double layer dvds useing tda and nero 7

they play fine in my burner but they wont play in my slv-d360p even though the user manual states it plays dvd+r dl has anyone been able to get dvd+r dl to play on the slv-d360p and if so how did you do it??

I burned another dual layer disk using ulead dvd factory 4 using the software for both authoring and burning and its working fine in the player, I had set tda to only produce a chapter menu because i only had one track and i think that might have been the problem then discs i created with tda using the track and chapter menu played without a problem.
