    Ok i am trying to take an 16:9 avi file and convert it to and mpeg 2 format. What i want is an svcd that displays the black bars with the picture so the picture in no squished on a 4:3 tv. The video file does not have the bars in it already. I am using TMPGenc but i cannot figure out what setting to adjust to get the bars. When i load the video it does not load an input or output aspet seting it is on 1.1 vga.

    use then file->preview to check if any borders.
