Hi, I've got a lot (read: hundreds) of .ogm video files that I am putting on my iPod. So far I've used mencoder to convert it to AVI DivX, and then iSquint or ffmpegX's iPod setting to convert that. However this takes a very long time for me. Is there any possible way to convert .ogm files into iPod-compatible ones in just one step? So far mencoder is the only thing I have found that can convert the .ogm's, and even then is says "unrecognized" but then converts anyway, so is there a way to have mencoder create iPod-compatible videos?

By the way, the codecs for the files are XviD, and of course Ogg Vorbis.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Why not ogmdemux your files before, resulting in an avi/xvid video and ogg audio. Now you'll have to convert the audio from ogg. I use iTunes for that and convert them to mp3. Sometimes iTunes won't work with certain ogg files, so I have to use audacity then.

Now you can mux the xvid/avi and the audio in the tools tab. These resulting files can be easyly converted to any format you like.

Still a lot of steps, but you only need one video conversion that way which save a lot of time and of course quality.
