  1. Hi,
I have a college project due where I have to show four video clips. I have them in .avi format. I also need to include the subtitles. My goal is to put them onto ONE dvd with possibly a text screen between each clip explaining what it is. Can anyone help me? Your info is greatly appreciated!

ConvertXtoDVD can do 4 avis with subs to a single DVD (total runtime will determine how practical this is) and a simple menu to choose which clip to play.

Encoding is easy enough. Just about any encoder will work for encoding to DVD compliant MPEG-2. See 'What is' DVD to the upper left for the DVD format. <<<<<<

Subtitles and menus are done with the authoring program. For what you want, maybe DVD-Lab. TDA is not much use for subtitles. For freeware, DVDAuthorgui may work. Do you already have the subtitles? We have a forum for subtitles for information on working with them. You can also put them permanently into a AVI with VirtualDub, and not have to mess with the .srt, .sub files during authoring.

The four AVIs will have to be encoded small enough with some space left for the authoring, probably about 200MB or so. There are bitrate calculators available in 'Tools' to the left. Use the total running time of all four AVIs for the input time and adjust the bitrate accordingly. <<<<<<
