I enclosed a pic of the information from AVIcodec.
I have Xvid and Dvix codecs installed and I have VobSub installed with correct items checked according to the sticky guide on combining avi and srt with vdubmod.

As soon as I open the avi in vdubmod I get the following error message at the bottom of the screen:

"Error decompressing video fram 0: an unknown error occurred (may be corrupt data) (error code -100)

DivxFix says there are no errors and I tried rebuilding index but that didn't help either.

The subtitles do work when used with VLC but I want them burnt in.

    Any ideas?

None, beyond that the AVI is f*cked up somehow, no matter what DivFix says.
