I have ffdshow and ac3filter installed.
I am playing on my laptop.
I have got all of the sounds settings set to be at maximum.
But... the sound I get is only just hearable.

I've tried changing the settings on ac3filter.
There are some settings already that are supposed to make the setting be at it loudest.
But... making these changes makes no difference at all.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

i then increase the volume as u say.

this has no effect at all.

    what am i doing wrong?

what alternatives to ffdshow are there?

    thanks.

    -you've got this one:
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=AC3_Filter
-if you install this filter, you've got to open ffdshow and disable its AC-3 filter (that means you cannot enable both at the same time, otherwise you'll hear nothing but a loud hissssss).
    Cheers!
