Hi there,
I am a newbie here, and I have a question that need some pros to answer. I am not sure if I am posting in the right forum, if not, please excuse me.
My Problem:
I have a RMVB file that contains two audio channel: L) Cantonese, R) Mandrian. I use WinAVI and convert the files to DVD format then burn to DVD. However after once it converted to DVD format (it becomes these files: VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB), all the audio channels become one, and cannot be sperated with the DVD player.
Anyone has any suggestion of how I can convert the RMVB file and burn to a DVD and still have two channels that I can switch to? Or simplier, can i just get rip of the Right Audio Channel when burn to DVD? I only need one Cantonese channel eventually.
Thank you.

WinAVI is a second rate application that rarely does as it advertises, and uses spam techniques to push it self in the market place. It is evil, and I have little sympathy for anyone who uses it and gets screwed.
If you are happy with the video quality it has produced (mind you don't trip over your seeing eye dog), then you should be able to salvage this mess.
Demux the VOBs back to a single video stream and audio stream. Load the audio stream into an audio editor. Assuming WinAVI hasn't butchered the audio, you should be able to select the channel that has th elaguage you want, copy it, and paste in in place of the other channel. You won't get stereo, but you will at least get only one language. Save this audio out in a compliant format, and reauthor the video and audio into a new DVD for burning.Read my blog here.

How could I do this? Sorry, I am really new to this video stuff.
Thanks thanks -
ok... I just realize something... the DVD I got actually still has a L and R channel, it's just that for some reason i am not able to choose the channel.
When I unplug the right speaker, I only get the Cantonese audio. Does this mean that it's not the converting problem? Please help....

yeah i tried that and it seems to work. The problem is that the processure takes an hour for a 15 min clip... and I have 20 eposides, 45 mins each... it's just going to take forever.
Well i guess, it's better off for me to just unplug the speaker...
thanks a lot for your help though. I really leart a lot from this experience. Thanks thanks.
