Can't copy DVD to HardDisk!

Hello...

Ok, so i have this DVD and i want to copy it in my hard disk. So i start DVD Decrypter and start the decrypting process but it always gets stuck at 1%. DVD decrypter says there's an I/O error but i'm pretty sure that the DVD has no problems. It's brand new and besides when i play it directly from the disc there are no problems whatsoever. This exact same thing happened to me a couple of times before (always at 1%) with other DVDs and i'm assuming it has something to do with copy protection.
I tried with other programs to decrypt it (DVD shrink,cloneDVD,smartripper) with the same result.
I also tried to update the DVD drive's firmware (ihave a NEC 3520A) and still no go.

So anyone knows if there's something i could do??...

I'm currently copying the DVD with DVDfab and it's far past 1%, so i think i should be fine now...
