I've got a PC that i use to transfer things from USB to the IDE drives.
BUT it sometimes comes up with a balloon saying make this device perform faster and i havnt seen it pop up for a few eeks so im haivng to put up with really slow transfers from memory stick to PC.
What can i do to make things transfer from USB to PC normal speed it should go at?

Two things could be happening:
1) the device is USB 1.0/1.1 plugged into a USB 2.0 Port
2) the device is USB 2.0 plugged into a USB 1.0/1.1 Port
The solution is to use both USB 2.0 Ports and USB 2.0 devices.
If your PC doesn't have USB 2.0 ports you can purchase a PCI-USB Expansion card for $15-$20.
