while copying a disc using the disc back feature it asks do you want to delete video on hard drive to free up space.When i press no to keep it i look on my hard drive its not there.Whats happening here.

My understanding is that the feature puts it in a different area than the video you record, The only reason to keep it would be to duplicate it again. I believe that do another disc back will ask if you want to delete it.

Right. When you use the DVD duplication feature the Pioneer writes a disc image of the DVD to a special part of the HDD. This cannot be seen or played from the HDD. When you want to duplicate a different DVD you must delete the previous disc image that was taking up this space. That's what the Pioneer is asking you to confirm that you really want to replace it with the content of the current disc.
