I've always thought no matter what the source is, pal or ntsc, that the dvd files spitted out by TDA will be region 0. Well is there a way to change the authored files from the pal region to ntsc region without having to re-encode the files to ntsc ?

There is a method called the patch method, where you can change the file to look like another format. May or may not play in your player though. Best option is to get a player than can play both formats. Next best option is to convert it. If you choose to convert, you can either use ProCoder, or the DGPulldown method. Search will get you details on all of these options.
