I have been using CCE SP to encode some edited AVI's produced by Premiere (orignal footage from a MiniDV camera). I have been encoding the AVI's to MPEG2 (ES)at bit rates of VBR Max 2,600k Average 1,600k. I then multplex the file to a program stream for SVCD.
However, the resulting files are bigger (sometimes much bigger) than the original AVI file. What am I doing wrong? When I used TMPGenc the MPEG2 file was far far smaller than the AVI file.
I have looked at what I think all the relevant setting would be - but I can't seem to find anything wrong.
Any ideas?
