dvd hesitates (pauses) in philips 642

I've been searching the forums for several hours now and cant seem to find my exact problem.

Extracted audio from avi with goldwave.
Created mpeg with Tmpgenc plus.
Used Tmpgenc DVD authur to create and burn DVD to verbatim dvd.

Avi and dvd play smooth on computer but when placed into philips 642 dvd pauses for half a second at random times (10 seconds, 30 seconds 1minute). The pauses are always at same time and audio video stay in sync.

This has happened before and reburning did not fix the problem.

The biggest problem is that since I dont see the problem on the computer I could waste a lot of dvd's using trial and error. Any suggestions would be appreciated
