I have recorded DVD+R DVDs which play fine on an old Mintek DVD player. I am now trying to play these on a new Philips DVD player. The DVD+Rs play video on the Philips, but there are two audio problems:
1. The multiple audio tracks("Main Audio" and "Audio With Commentary" for example) which are choosable on the Mintek do now show on the Philips. When audio does play on the Philips only the default audio stream is available. On the Mintek different audio streams, if there, can be chosen.
2. Most importantly - Whenever tracks "auto-continue" into a next track the audio never plays on the continued track, however it plays on the origninal track?? For example if I have the following Menu:

ITEM 1(for example broken into 3 tracks, "01_1", and continuing onto "01_2" and "01_3"):
01_1 - Audio Plays on Philips and Mintek
01_2 - Audio Does Not Play on Philips, but plays on Mintek
01_3 - Audio Does Not Play on Philips, but plays on Mintek
ITEM 2:
02_1 - Audio Plays
ITEM 3:
03_1 - Audio Plays

I believe all the source files have the same audio format across them(see file structure below). Isn't it telling that the Mintek DVD Player plays all the DVDs, with audio across "continuing tracks", and Mintek also sees the multiple "Audio" streams(for example "default audio", and also "With Commentary" for example, if they exist) on tracks? Does this mean the problem is simply the brand of DVD player?
Or is it the way they're recorded?? In any case Why can the Mintek "read" the audio where the Philips can't?

I see the Philips reads the continued tracks(example 01_2, 01_3) as "MPEG2" but the original tracks(example "01_1", which do play audio on the Philips) are read as type "DVD".

Here is an example file structure when I view DVD+R on PC:
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_1.VOB

When I view the same DVD+R in Mintek or Philips DVD player I see:
VTS_01_1 - This plays Audio on Mintek & Philips
VTS_01_2 - This plays Audio only on Mintek
VTS_01_3 - This plays Audio only on Mintek
VTS_02_1 - This plays Audio on Mintek & Philips

The following process was used to create these DVD+Rs:
1. DVD Decryptor - copy DVD to Hard Drive
2. DVD Shrink - Create by "Re-author" a new DVD contents directory on Hard Drive, these contents are minus the Menus on the original DVD
3. Stomp RecordNow Max - Record the contents of the re-authored DVD directory onto a DVD+R.

I have tried switching the Audio Digital output options on the Philips DVD player from "All" to "PCM Only" but that had no effect on getting the audio to be read in the continued tracks on the Philips.
