Has anyone bought the SONY DVD+R 100 pack spindle from BEST BUY? I'm curious if it's MADE IN JAPAN or MADE IN TAIWAN spindles. I don't wanna go down there if it's MADE IN TAIWAN spindles. I'm lazy.....

Ditto. The nearest Best Buy to me is about 20 min.s away. Not your casual - curiosity kinda trip. On the other hand, Staples has the Sony 50-spindle packs (MIJ) this week for $15., which works out to the same per disc price. These have a Sony code -- not TYs. LordSmurf already pronounced the 8x version of these as being good. I'd guess that applies to these -- now 16x -- ones as well, but don't want to presume too much . . . .
I haven't had any problems with *good* 16x media yet, but because of the older burner in my Pioneer 520 and the Pioneer 108 in the computer, I did try to stock up on the 8x MIJs, when they were available.

Thanks for replying! But Hawaii doesn't have a STAPLES store. I guess I'll have to drag myself down there later this afternoon.

I picked up a few 50 packs (8X MIJ) from Staples today and they were indeed TY's.

I got the Sony +Rs from Staples, made in Japan Ty 02s. Same price as BB, $14.98 for a 50 pk. But the D11s are good too, bought them before.

  9. Look near a UPC code it should say made in japan. This is pretty much true of just about most media.
