I'm lost. Tried reading some guides, tried guessing on my own, cannot find anything that works.

The one that got closest was frameserving VirtualDub to AVISynth, but I got a AVISynth script error.

    All I had listed was

    AVISource("C:\FILE.VDR")
    or AVISource(C:\FILE.VDR) ... forgotten already.

Anyway, in over my head. Help!

  2. I've never used Procoder, does it require YUY2 colorspace for input like CCE? Frameserving from Virtualdub to anything should be in RGB colorspace.

Cant you just open the .vdr file in procoder? It seems your frameserving to a frameserver. Just use avisynth and put your avi source in the quotes. AVISource("C:\FILE.avi"), then open up that script in procoder.

Lordsmurf, try using VFAPI Reader. It will create a dummy AVI file. It might be something to try. Here is a guide (from this site): https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/87270.php

    Update:
    Just did a quick test...
I used VFAPI reader in conjunction with Procoder Express and it seems to work.. The only down side with the VFAPI method is that you will have to save the audio separately.

I believe this is the best approach, as ProCoder won't read the vdr file from VDub.

The vdr file from VirtualDub does not need to be named with the vdr extension. Just name it with the avi extension and see if procoder will accept it.

  7. Using VFAPI and the old AviSynth plugin you can import *.VDR.

Procoder 2.0 does not accept VDR, nor VDR with an AVI extension. Tried those before I made the thread.

I may go the VFAPI route. I have to work on audio separately anyway, only needed to convert video.

    Thanks.
