I've had the Canopus ADVC 100 for a couple of years, and it's been pretty flawless in terms of the audio/video synch, which is what caused me to buy it in the first place. I use it wit SC-Live.

Every once in a while (and last night for hours!) the audio simply does not work. That is - I play my video source into the Canopus, and then into my PC via firewire, and then into SC-Live, but there is no audio. If I reboot the PC, restart SC-Live, and power-cycle the ADVC 100 (in no particular order!) all usually works fine, and life goes on. But last night, I rebooted several times, restarted the program a few times, powered the device on / off a few times ... all to no avail. Eventually, for no particularly good reason, it started working again.

I seem to remember seeing other posts to this effect in the past, but can't find them now by searching.

All I'm looking for is a 'sequence' to go through to bring the audio back to life - maybe there is a trick I'm not hitting upon!

    Thanks!

I haven't seen that problem on mine but to troubleshoot I'd first try a different DV program and next I'd try the ADVC on a different computer.

There have been times when the ADVC locks up and needs a power cycle.
