I hope I can explain my problem okay....

I downloaded the driver update for my 2000 Expert and the instructions.
The instructions show an "audiocapture" driver and when using Device Mgr, I don't see a Winfast audio capture driver listed. The only ones I see are video, tuner, and crossbar

How do I add the audio capture driver using Device Manager???

I don't beileve there is a seperate audio capture driver for this card. Audio is capture via your sound card. Just install the video, tuner and crossbar.

Okay, I'll forget about the audio capture thingy. Maybe someone at Leadtek can explain why there is an audio capture driver shown in the instructions.

I've had a problem with distorted audio and thought the driver updates would fix it.

  4. Hi,

There is NO "Audio Capture Device" in the TV2000 XP EXPERT.
There is an "Audio Capture Device" in the TV2000 XP Deluxe.
There is an "Audio Capture Device" in the TV2000 XP RM.

Because both the Deluxe and RM model use the BT878.
And the BT878's "Audio Capture Device" is a dummy device.
The audio capture device is the "SOUND CARD" actually.

I have two TV tuner cards in different pcs, one captures audio via an audio input on the back of the card but you can configure it to capture audio via soundcard.
The other card a leadtek Winfast 2000 captures via soundcard OR on board audio whichever you tell it to in the configuration panel, when you install the card there is a connection to run a cable (usual CD ROM sound cable- 3 pin I think) from the Tuner card to your Sound card ONBOARD Aux In connector.
The Winfast tuner card does not have an audio capture device merely an audio passthrough- this is only for TV capture though, cos with video capture you have to use the sound card.
