  1. I am really new at this. I downloaded TMPEG. I follow the directions on the HOW TO CONVERT thing but I keep getting stuck on the load part. What is a template. Whatever I am supposed to load I can't find.

A template is a text file with different encoder settings. TMPGEnc.exe and the template subdirectory will be in the same directory.

  3. how do i get to this directory? If it helps, I opened TMPGEnc with winzip. When I go to load and I look for the template, I can't access the winzip file.

when you unzip TMPgenc, it will extract a folder called
"Template", which is a subdirectory wherever you extracted
your TMPgenc zip-file to. Once you click 'load', browse
to the "template" directory and select your template.

I'm not trying to be smart, just trying to clarify.

You've stated twice that you opened tmpgenc the winzip. Have you extracted the files out of the zip file.

Normally you double click on the downloaded file and it selfextracts creating the directories stated. This installs the program and associated files. Then you can double click on the extracted .exe file to run tmpegnc.

    Good Luck
