    Hi, I am newbie here.
    ANd I am having problem while encoding with windows media encoder 9.
    I get perfect video but no audio. Even when i playback the file I dont get audio. Though i get audio while recording stuff.

    GSPot doesn't do WMV files, AFAIK. You need AVICodec or VideoInspector.

    I tried the clip and actually heard some pop and hiss, so there is audio. I suspect your TV tuner card's audio plug was not plugged in correctly or your encoder is reading off the wrong audio port or something. This is a typical symptom of reading from the MIC port instead of the LINE-IN port (which the tuner card is usually plugged into, as I own a Hauppauge TV Tuner card myself)

    I just have one cable(coaxible cble) running from the tv to my pc. I do not have seprate cable for audio.
    How should i get different cables for audio/video get connected?
    which cable should i use?

    Pleas elabroate.

    Common with new aiw installs, need to run cable from tuner to sound card/chip input. You'll hear audio just fine whilest recording, but it won't go to the card's input and well, be recorded.
